About Myself

My first encounter with art and beauty did not arise in a workshop but in the mountain range where I grew up, among hills, snow, rocks, and watercourses. I walked or rode through this majestic chain of mountains from my earliest steps and let myself be surprised by its smells, sounds, colors, shapes, textures, and temperatures.

It was not until the year 1998 that I was able to express all that I had experienced on paper with a pencil in Federico Sifuentes' drawing workshop. After 7 years of exploring technique and expressing my inner world, I introduced color and materials with the artist Francisco Zañartu.

A few years later, in 2007, I joined Taller 99 where printmaking caught my attention, and I poured my history and landscapes into loose and expressive drawings. The same artists from Taller 99 motivated me to create Taller KM 99 where I continued my work as an artist and teacher of intaglio printmaking.

In 2014, I joined Arturo Duclos' tutoring where I delved into painting in a humorous and ironic language to address women and couples as the main theme.
