My work is based on some characters from my imagination, who are in different everyday situations. They are naive and seem to be very simple. In their innocence and simplicity, they hide a message of something raw, something that happens, a reality that is disguised or concealed.

 

There is irony, laughing at situations in daily life, at things that happen and we try to overlook. These characters sometimes disguise themselves as other characters with status, sometimes with titles, an emperor or an empress who underneath their wonderful garments that captivate the viewer, is an ordinary man or woman, sometimes melancholic, sometimes tender.

 

They speak with their eyes, with objects, go through self-referencing situations and symbols, and in each of them, there is a "self" like a self-portrait.
